EUROESPES facilities occupy a surface area of 17,000 m2.
CIBE is composed of a Medical Center, with inpatient and outpatient activity, a Research Center and a Medical and Bio-Computer Science section. Each of these enjoys independence of operation and coordinates its work with the other sections.
Medical Center
The Medical Center is devoted to patient care, and covers all aspects related to clinical research, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the Central Nervous System, ageing and dementia for both inpatients and outpatients.
Research Center
The Research Center has extensive experience in carrying out research studies applied to the development of pharmaceutical products and genetic diagnosis of human diseases. In this area investigation is carried out on the causes of diseases such as senile dementia, neurodegenerative processes and those associated with ageing, the molecular biology of the most prevalent diseases and the development of experimental models destined for the discovery of more effective treatments. EUROESPES stands out due to its degree of sophistication and the breakthroughs achieved in four fields of activity which are fundamental for the future, applied to diseases of the Central Nervous System, ageing and dementia:
